This past weekend (July 16th), Car Craft Midnight Drags returned to the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Wisconsin for a night of good ole’ fashioned racing.
Last year was a blast with Chris Bishir and his turbocharged, LS-powered S10 coming home with the win.
The rules were the same as in 2015. $50 entry fee. It will be a 1/4 run and the car and driver must pass the safety tech inspection. Only rear wheel drive American vehicles could compete, and all cars must have DOT-approved tires.
This year, a 6-second 1973 AMC Javelin took the prize. That’s right. Bryant Goldstone’s 1973 AMC Javelin hit 7.2 @ 205 mph on his 1st qualifying run. His fourth run was 7.12 @ 207mph securing the win.
Check out the video of this run below. Thanks to Tom for the video submission. Great work!
